  In addition Alice ran a Public House called ' The Stags Head' where they used to live on the upper floor. Alice was a character [ looking a bit like Queen Victoria !] she kept a grey parrot which she had had for many years and told stories of how the Hop pickers would come into the Pub during the picking season most them coming from London in the 30s Always game for a laugh.
