6303 | Port of departure: Liverpool Passenger destination port: Montreal, Canada Ship: VANCOUVER Shipping Line: Dominion Line Master's name: Williams Where bound: Montreal, Canada Square feet: 7355 Registered tonnage: 2859 Passengers on voyage: 411 The ship documents are confusing, the ship name is clearly listed as "Vancouver" on the outgoing documents, but it is packaged together with the "City of Chicago" documents. On it's arrival in Montreal it is again listed as the "Vancouver" however according to records the Vancouver was sold before it was finished being built by the Dominion line to the Inman line and renamed "City of Chicago" in the year 1883. On the arrival records it is listed as a Dominion ship. There was another ship in the Dominion line named Vancouver but the coincidence with the name "City of Chicago" being mentioned makes it unclear as to which ship this actually was. | NASH, Daniel Francis Knowlton Pitchford (I7594)
