4914 Marie Pesseley married Jean Pitre around 1665 when Acadia was still under English occupation. She had eleven children and she lost her husband of over twenty years.

From the 1686 Census where she was listed as being 45, we know that Marie Pesseley was born around 1641, probably in Acadia. She is the daughter of Isaac Pesseley and Barbe Bajolet.

Although there is no doubt that life as a widow with eleven children would have been difficult for Marie, she would not remain a widow for too long as she is listed in the 1693 Census as being married to Fran
PESSELEY, Marie (I23818)

4917 Marie-Josephe Orillon was born on June 15, 1736 in Port Royal. Marie-Josephe grew up in one of the most difficult periods of Acadian History. She married Michel Pitre in Quebec City while they were both refugees there in 1759. They had 13 children of which two, a girl named Marie and a boy named Joseph, died not long after birth.

Marie-Josephe was the daughter of Charles II Orillon and Marie-Anne Richard.

Charles Orillon dit Champagne the second was born on August 7, 1713. He married Anne Richard (daughter of Fran

KOTCHAPAW, Marion Grace (I19107)

4927 Mark ROBBINS & Ruth had 8 children. Ruth was buried on 6 Oct 1854 aged 38 years, and it looks as if husband Mark married again to an Elizabeth ?. In the 1861 Census he is aged 50 and with wife Elizabeth & children in Stoke Lane. In the 1851 Census he is aged 40 living with Ruth and children next door to Richard Emblin & Joanna (Robbins).

One of the children of Mark was named Priscilla which is another pointer, but I haven't yet found marriage of William & Priscilla.

4929 Marmaduke Street, Toronto (Mcmartin Home) - Witnesses William Graham and Muriel McMartin

Mcnaughton - MacMartin (How it is spelt in newspaper)

The home of Mr. and Mrs. E. MacMartin of Marmaduke street was the scene of a very quiet and pretty wedding this afternoon, when their third daughter, Sybil Evelyn, was united in marriage to Mr. A. Cameron Mcnaughton, B.A., Rev. Alex. Gilray, D.D. officiating. Miss Muriel MacMartin, sister of the bride was bridesmail, while Mr. Wm. C. Graham, B.A. assisted the groom, and Miss Katie Mcnaughton, sister of the groom, played the wedding March. The bride who entered the drawing-room with her father, was wearing a gown of Ivory duchess satin and silk embroidered Brussels net, with pearl trimings, also the customary bridal veil with orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white roses and lillies of the valley. The bridesmaid was in cream embroidered Brussels net and lingerie hat, and carried a large bouquet of pale pink roses.

After the ceremony buffet refreshments were served, then the bride and groom left for Eastern points, sailing from Montreal Saturday, 22nd, by the Laurentic for England and France, the bride travelling in a plainly tailored navy serge and tuscan hat. On their return they will reside in their new home in Glencairn avenue. Owing to a recent bereavement only the immediate relatives were invited.
