All original particulars abour Sarah supplied by Doreen Rice. She was born at Maldon and died 25th May 1894 at Neasden, Middx. No details of any children given.

A family bible currently owned by Peter Francis of Caterham and apparantly written in by her father (see Photo L111) shows that Sarah was born on the 23rd October 1816.
In the will of her grandmother (Doc346) Ruth Trussell, made in 1841 and proved in 1843, she is still named as a Francis (presumed unmarried), left a cash sum of £20 and shown as residing with her grandmother.
In the 1881 Census (RG11/1767F56)(No copy) Sarah is shown aged 60, a widow, born Maldon as a niece of the head of the household, a Sarah Trussell (unmarried) aged 84 (her aunt, the sister of Ruth Trussell, who married Daniel Francis (1789-1864).
In a codicil attached to a transcript of the will (Doc 347) of her aunt Sarah Trussell, sister of Ruth Trussell, who married Daniel Francis (1789-1864) made in 1880 and proved in November 1888, Sarah is named as Sarah Fielde, widow and receives the sum of £200 cash.
In a transcript only (supplied by Doreen Rice) of her own will made in July 1891 and proved in July1894 she leaves various legacies to named parties include the following Francis families:- her sister Emma Liddiard, her brother Ephraim, the wife of her brother George, her cousins Jane Everard, Charlotte Francis, Ellen Francis, Hannah Francis, Elizabeth Francis and Harriett Francis, all daughters of Robert of St Clere's Hall, Danbury, three nephews the children of her late sister Martha Howarth, with the rest and residue to be split among the children of her brother Ephraim, her late sister Martha and her cousin Jane Everard. The total estate was valued at £2317-12s5d (Doc 401).
