My name is Stephen Wregg and my wife Caroline's mum -Lillian - was a daughter of Gladys and Lionel John (Jack) Chambers. She had a sister Gladys Joyce and brother Bill John Chambers + many other step brothers and sisters from her father's second marriage. Her name was Lillian May and she was born 4 Sept 1920 in Paddington, Sydney. She died just recently, 7 March 2001. Lil had spelt her mum's surname as Melain when I initally did some research on her side. I have yet to prove with birth /death certificates yet but all seems to match up. Lil's grandfather was Paddy. Gladys Caroline Alice May Melehan Chambers died 1931 (reg no 1418); Her parents were Patrick and Caroline, nth Sydney. My wife was an only child, Caroline Anne Alce, born 1 June 1948.
