William Turl was a bachelor and Kerenhappuck Sweetland was a sprinter at the time of their marriage. He was a farmer at the time.

William Putham Turl was 60 years old when he married Agnes Saunders. She was 59 years old.
His occupation was a porter in a coal yard and she worked as a dressmaker.
They married in the Chard Street Chapel 27 March, 1891. (He was a widower and she was a widow).
