General Notes: Husband - Stephen ROBLIN
As stated in the early part of this sketch, the old pioneer, John Roblin, has a brother, Stephen, who accompanied him to Adolphustown. Although his wife's name cannot now be ascertained, Stephen Roblin was married before coming to Canada, and had three children: Mary, Rebecca and Owen 8
General Notes: Child - Owen ROBLIN
Owen Roblin married Margaret Ruttan, and had a large farm on the third concession of Adolphustown, where he lived for many years and died at an advanced age. To distinguish him from the many other prominent men of his own name, now a familiar one throughout the county, he was called the "one-eyed" Roblin, owing to the fact that at an early age he suffered the misfortune of losing the sight of one eye. His descendants are numerous and are recognized as many of the leading business men and farmers in the county.

He cam to Canada with his father in the Vanalstine Party to Canada. He lived and died in Adolphustown/> His will was dated March 23, 1852. He was known as "one eyed Owen" from an accident when a child stuck a stick in his eye.
Owen and Mary lived on Lot 24 , Con 3 in Adolphustown. They are found there in 1794 with one male and one female both over 16 years of age. In 1851 Owen P. 85 and Mary 76, are living in Adolphustown with their son Stephen Roblin and his family 5,8
General Notes: Child - Mary ROBLIN
Mary, the eldest of the family, married and settled I the States, but eventually moved into Canada and died at Goderich, where she left considerable property.
Mary Roblin (Owen1) daughter of Owen Roblin Sr. was born 1769 in New York. About 1795, she married Solomon Orser, son of Joseph Orser/Aertse and Anntje Jurkes. Solomon was born 1761 in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Mary and Solomon lived in Fredericksburg and Kingston, Ontario.
Mary died before 1806 and Solomon died between 1836 and 1837 in Reach Twp. 5,8

Rebecca Roblin (Owen1) daughter of Owen Roblin Sr. was born 1771 in New York. Oct 27, 1793, in Fredericksburgh, Rebecca married John Wood. John was born 1759.
Rebecca and John lived in Woodville, Sophiasburg and owned 1/2 of lots 24 & 25 of SWGP, southwest of Green Point.
John died in 1843. Rebecca died May 22, 1855. 5,8

Stephen Roblin (Jacob3, Owen2,Owen1) son of Jacob Roblin and Sarah Vandusen was born Feb. 18, 1819 in Sophiasburg. Nov. 3, 1845 in Sophiasburg, Stephen married Julia Ann Werden, daughter of Albert Werden and Sarah Spencer Conger. Julia was born May 10, 1828 in Prince Edward County.
1851 Census - Stephen, Philip and Nathan living in Tyendinaga. 1861 Census - Stephen, age 43, living in Tyendinaga with Julia 33, Albert 13, William 11, David 9, Stanley 5, and Emma 2. 1871 Census - Stephen 52, living in Tyendinaga. 1881 Census - Stephen 60, living in Tyendinaga with Julia 51, Albert 32, Stanley A. 25, Sara E. 22, and Ellen C. 20.
Stephen died Dec 17, 1887. In 1891 Julia, age 59, a widow, is living in Tyendinaga with Ella C. age 28, and Albert S., age 40. In 1901 Julia is living in Sophiasburg with daughter Emma and husband James Foster.
