My Twin

God in His mercy and to my delight

Gave me a twin that’s just right

You have always been there for me

Often unspoken..others can’t see

In our hearts and memory

You have always been so loving to me

Life hasn’t been easy and often unkind

You always take time for what’s on my mind

You are a family man to the core

You give so much and then always more

You take time to play with such joy

Out on Georgian Bay you are again a boy

Even though I am a brunt of many a joke

nothing is so boring as “owe me a coke”

I know I am not the only one that loves you this much

There are quite a few people whose life you touch

Your laugh, your jokes, and the memories you tell

Quite a few stories we all know so well

Our lives are busy and mine’s changing fast

Even though we don’t get to-gether as in the past

We know as twins we are specially bound

I will always love you with a love profound
