Isn’t it a sad time of year

people are lonely for those they hold dear

It must be sad for God with His grace

as we hide our tears and cover our face

He knows our heart and knows our sorrow

for He holds our present and our to-morrow

He’s given us the gift of memory

to treasure our times of the ones we can’t see

to hold them dear in our mind and heart

knowing it’s only a short time apart

So uncover your face and let the tears flow

it helps people to comfort when you let your feelings show
