Tis the wintery Christmas season

I love you for many a reason

I love your sense of fun

your love of God and His Son

The way you love your family

you are proud of your kids and all you see

The way you hold me tight

the way we laugh when we try to fight

I love your nerdy computer mind

To every one you are so kind

You make me feel cherished and strong

you’re not afraid of saying you’re wrong

You are still a kid at heart

I admire your lack of lies

Your constantly sparkling eyes

You have known me for such a long time

I can’t believe you are mine

I love your country bumpkin overalls

I love your looney police calls

I love that you are trustworthy and true

you don’t hide what’s inside of you

I have absorbed your love of the lake

You love the art of giving...you rarely take

Your spirit is alive and well

You love me dearly...I can always tell

I love the kid you become with your truck

most especially when it’s stuck

In this our first Christmas to-gether as two
